Hi Armando,
the only place that I see on the EQ6 for a ring encoder, the scale for the celestial coordinates.
Whether the change in displacement is still within the acceptable range, you have to measure.
But perhaps it would be advisable anyway to customize this mount .

There are thin plates and liners (PTFE). So that you can reduce or eliminate the gap.
My ring has a diameter of about 125mm. That is the minimum Renishaw said.
Slower speed for GOTO and Meridian switch?
Well ... I actually bought the Encoder Option, in order not to lose alignment when I release the clamping of the axis.
And now, with high resolution encoders crashes down the LFEP when I move the telescope without an motor.
This is not acceptable. And if I have to let the motors run slower, so that the birds do not fall from the trees at night, already not.

I am now looking around for an electronic buffer ("Data Cache" or so).
The part should store the signals and pass so slowly to the LFEP that such is not overwhelmed. I think that a stroke of about 200 - 400kH would be optimal.
Unfortunately, I am absolutely Unknowingly in electronics and need help.
